Ashley Vets vs Yate Town Vets
Yate town report
1st game of the season saw us visit Ashley Down vets at Cribbs sports ground. After and competitive start we managed to take a 2 nil lead into half time. The game was halted for 15 minutes when I Jason Wood received treatment for broken ribs. After the restart we managed to finish the game winning by 6 goals. The game was played in good spirit and I appreciated the support offered by both teams whilst dealing with my injury. Apart for the injury a good game all round.

Banjo Munchenbadback vs Lyde Green Vets
Excellent Vets match played in great spirit and superbly refereed. What more could you ask for?
Lyde took the lead through Mike before Banjo struck back. An excellent Westy cross saw Yan tap in to allow Lyde to retake the lead before a good strike from Scott made it 3-1 at the break.
injuries meant lots of disruption for Lyde in the 2nd half where we soaked up Banjo pressure and held on to claim the win.
Enjoyable game that saw some good football played in the right spirit. Freds equalised for Banjo with a solo goal struck from the edge of the box after rounding a couple of Lyde defenders. Despite having a lot of pressure second half Banjo, couldn’t get the important “next goal” and the game ended in Lyde’s favour, followed by a few beers and grub in the Lamb.
Chew Magna Vets vs Pucklechurch FC Vets
A competitive game played in the right spirit, Chew Magna took the lead twice before we nosed ahead in the second half. A late header gave Chew a share of the spoils. We dominated the ball but Chew were more efficient and clinical with it so a draw was probably the right result and we all had a beer after.
