Excellent Vets match played in great spirit and superbly refereed. What more could you ask for?

Lyde took the lead through Mike before Banjo struck back. An excellent Westy cross saw Yan tap in to allow Lyde to retake the lead before a good strike from Scott made it 3-1 at the break.

injuries meant lots of disruption for Lyde in the 2nd half where we soaked up Banjo pressure and held on to claim the win.

Enjoyable game that saw some good football played in the right spirit. Freds equalised for Banjo with a solo goal struck from the edge of the box after rounding a couple of Lyde defenders. Despite having a lot of pressure second half Banjo, couldn’t get the important “next goal” and the game ended in Lyde’s favour, followed by a few beers and grub in the Lamb.
