Walkover
We had to concede match as unable to field a team
First game of the season ended in defeat for Corries……having come up against a very good new side in Vasco. On a pitch whose grass was longer than a hay field (slightly inaccurate, but you get the picture) Vasco started strongly and never really gave Corries a chance. Corries were soon 1-0 down and were struggling to get a foot in the game. Before too long it was 2-0 and to makes matters worse Corries lost our keeper (Fats). Swifty took over the gloves as we went into half time 2-0 down. Second half Corries were a bit brighter and pulled a goal back through a stunning volley by James Reid. Corries played some good football in patches but soon conceded another after a defensive mistake. To close the game out Vasco scored a 4th and deservedly won the game. A good game, played in the right spirit. Good luck to Vasco in Division 8…..not sure you are going to need it!!!

About Us
Sands United Bristol FC were founded in 2019. We are part of the network of Sands United football clubs around the country. We are a team that provides a unique avenue of support for men affected by the death of a baby before, during or shortly after birth. Many men have reached out to Sands United Bristol FC for support because they didn’t feel the traditional avenues of support were for them.
Each member of the team wears a shirt that carries meaning for them. We all chose a squad number that is important to us and we play with our babies names on the shirt near our hearts. We are all part of a club that nobody wants to be a part of but one that has the highest cost of membership.
We play for the best worst team in football.
We are Sands United Bristol ??
