Victory for us vs a strong side in Brislington Badgers. Great set of lads with a good team spirit made it difficult for us to break the deadlock. Finally around the 70 minute mark we managed to get the much needed goal and the 2nd followed in the 80th. Great game all round.

Lyde Green Vets vs Pucklechurch FC Vets
Lyde got revenge on us on a sunny morning at Lyde Green. The pitch was horrible and both teams did well to manage that and produce a decent game. We missed 3 or 4 very good chances before a penalty and free kick put Lyde 2-0 up, somewhat against the run of play. We got one back thanks to a decent strike just after half time but we struggled to create much as the game went on and Lyde were comfortable at the end and grabbed another to seal the win.

Decliners FC vs Red Star 50s
A good game at BAWA between two well matched teams. The hard and bouncy pitch meant this wasn’t the highest quality game, but the endeavor from both sides was there throughout. A first half of few chances saw Decliners take their’s when Ross slotted in at the far post, while RedStar missed, when the striker was through one on one but surprisingly opted to try and square it instead of shooting. 1-0 HT. The next goal was always going to be crucial and after a period where RedStar dominated, Emu came up with an unlikely worldie from outside the box. He was only playing up front to keep him out of harm’s way as he recovers from injury, or was it a stroke of managerial genius? Let the pundits decide! That goal was the clincher and Decliners settled into the game at last. Ross added a third from JT’s cross. Both sides had further opportunities but final score was 3-0.
