Decliners debuted as the reserve team of the Recliners franchise in season 19-20. Now transferring to the over 50’s division Decliners is intended to give aging Recliners one final hurrah on the pitch even if this contravenes doctor’s orders. Victory in the 2021 over 50’s cup final brought the franchise its first silverware.

Born from the original collection of teams which formed the Corinthian League, with an organic desire to play football. Named after the street from which a number of the team lived, Russell Road. One original team member still playing. Ethos enjoy the game, have a beer, talk nonsense – live to play another day.

The 50s team is made up of players from three clubs with not enough oldies yet to form their own team, Barely Athletic, Swift & Henleaze Corinthians plus other players picked up along the way. As this is too many names to shout on a pitch we use the acronym B.A.S.H. The 50s squad is managed by Henleaze which was the team from which the Casuals League was spawned and we still boast a player from that first game! We have a big squad but feel free to get in touch if you’d like to play and we’ll add you to the reserve list.
