The squad were made up of players who attended a Thursday night kickabout in Bradley Stoke. The team changed their name to Filton High FC in the 2014-2015 season in respect to the now demolished Filton High School. The club have been actively raising funds for the Bone Cancer Research Trust since 2014 via their annual charity game, The Leigh Gaskin Memorial Cup.
