Bryan Munich vs Re-Union

Bryan Munich Report:

Bryan played their first game of the season against former winners Reunion in the cup at a glorious Shirehampton Park.
The whole of the first half it seemed was parked in the Bryan end as Reunion pressed forward. They used the width of the pitch really well and attacked superbly down the flanks but Bryan held fast and debutante ‘keeper Carl made a couple of magnificent saves. Eventually the deadlock was broken on 37 minutes as a great ball in from the right was met at the far post.
Bryan Munich went in 1-0 down at half time and the talk was all about being rusty and not using the space well. A second goal came on the hour mark as Bryan should have cleared and the home side tactics were changed. The remainder of the game was a proper ding dong cup battle and Bryan pulled one back as pressure finally told. Chances went begging at either end but Reunion were worthy winners, well organised, quick at the back and composed.

Ashley Vets vs Knowle CC

KCC Report:

Brief match report: KCC FC’s first competitive game was against a well organised Ashley. We had an injury in the warm up leaving us down to 12 players to start with. During the first half we then had another injury leaving us with the bare 11. KCC FC held our own during the first half but were undone by a well worked move down the left and a sweet volley finish off a cross into the penalty area. We went in 1-0 down at halftime but still feeling upbeat to be holding our own against a 1st division team.
In the 2nd half Ashley started to put their stamp on the game and ended up scoring a header from a cross mid way through.
We then swapped one of our injured players into keeper and moved our keeper outfield. Ashley then took a shot from about 20 yards out and our new keeper let it roll through his body into the goal for Ashley’s 3rd. Ashley played out the game to win 3-0.
Ashley Report:
A very good game of football this morning. A very competitive first half. We took the lead half way through the half, 1-0 to us at half time. We scored twice more in the second half to end with a 3-0 win.

Almondsbury report:
Great cup match this morning against Unathletico fc – played in great spirit and following guidelines correctly.

Avon Retreads vs Frenchay Legends

Frenchay Report:

Today cup game against Avon Retreads was an end to end game right from the start. We went 3 goals down in the first half having missed a hat full of chances. We started the second half a lot better eventually winning the game 6-7 a well great game played by two even teams.

Avon Report:

Another cracking game on a lovely sunny morning but quite a wind. Retreads went ahead but pegged back in second half. Both teams had many an opportunity to score but the shooting boots were left in the lockers. Draw fair result and played in good spirit.

WCMB report:
Good 7-2 victory for us, 3 early goals killed the game we caught backwell by surprise. Very competitive game played in a great spirit.

Lyde Green Vets vs Frampton Ath Vets

LG report:
Result today in the cup was Lyde Green 0-1 Frampton.
Competitive game between two hard working sides which was eventually settled with 10 minutes remaining as the Frampton wideman swung in a cross that eluded the Lyde keeper.
Frampton Report:
Great game of football played, especially given both teams have gone 6 months without kicking a ball. Both teams created chances, with both goalkeepers keeping their teams in the game. With the match heading to penalties, it was Frampton that snatched the victory with a lucky shot-come-cross, which floated over the home team goalkeeper to put Frampton into round 2!

We had a splendid victory 7-2, very good game for us.
All played in great spirts and a great hatrick from Neil Thomas.
