Background:

The Recliners Franchise has grown over the years to spawn several sides in all age groups. Originally an off-shoot of Retainers FC. the franchise currently consists of Recliners, Decliners. Recliners Youth. Reclinosaurs and Retainers, making it the largest vets football franchise in the UK (probably)

Background:

Formed in 2016. Forming a second Nailsea Vets Club team seemed like a good idea for a few of the more senior players who were starting to feel the pace playing the relatively young 35 brigade!

Teams should be aware we play on an artificial pitch so training shoes or moulded boots. Usually have a post match pint in Sawyers Arms (3 High Street, BS48 1BT)

Background:

Established in 1992 out the back of an IT centre in Bristol. A couple of years languishing in the informal Avon Civils League were followed by half a dozen in the Bristol Sunday League until it was time to make the step up to the Bristol Casuals League in 2005. Several glory years at the top followed before a slow decline started. But that’s history…this year could be our year…

Background: Henleaze Corinthians was the team from which the Casuals League was spawned and still boasts a player from that first game! As the league developed and the team aged, the club expanded into two teams. In 2006, Henleaze Corinthians 45’s were formed to take care of the older/slower players. In 2021 Henleaze Corinthians 50’s were also formed to take care of the ageing limbs of the club.
