Lion took the points in a close game at Little Stoke playing fields. Despite having the ‘lion’s share’ of possession in the first half, chances were few and far between for them. A well placed strike from 20 yards gave Lion a deserved lead, but there was only one other good opportunity which the lively striker volleyed wide. Meanwhile Si hit the post on the break for Reclinosaurs, before a mistake at the back allowed Pete in to equalise. Second half was more even, Both sides had chances, Lion had one disallowed for a foul on the keeper and one superb strike that hit the bar. They took the lead again when a flighted ball was volleyed in for a great goal. Reclinosaurs had several chances near the end to secure the draw they probably deserved but weren’t clinical enough in the end. A good close game played in a generally good spirit.
