Clevedon began by playing a high line and a ball came in over the top after some neat ‘diamond-esque’ interplay, and Arron latched onto it and had acres of time to hit it over the onrushing keeper. 1-0 inside the first minute. The second goal came after about 20 minutes with Arron chasing down a lost cause and heading the ball past their last defender and their defender kicked Arron in the head. Stonewall Pen. John converted neatly into the bottom left corner. A 3rd came with the keeper saving from first Morgs and then Jamie before it fell to Arron who smashed it low and hard through the bodies. 3-0 at half time. The game really should have been out of sight but Clevedon then scored two. First a short corner that wasn’t closed down quickly enough and a slow looping ‘cross’ found its way over Stu and into the back of the net. Their second came from Monday’s getting too comfortable at the back and them closing us down. Arron (in goal by this point) made a save low to his right, only for their onrushing striker to get to the rebound first. 3-2 felt uncomfortable but it was still ours to lose. We then got our 4th straight after their 2nd with a shot coming in only to be spilled by their keeper – and Jamie latching onto it first. 4-2. A good all-around performance across the pitch. The game was played in a good spirit.​
