Match Reports
It was a beautiful Sunday morning, not as cold as Saturday and definitely not as windy. This allowed both teams to play some brilliant football. Recliners started very well and within 2 minutes had taken the lead through Josh. The game was evenly match for the next 10 minutes with both teams passing the ball around as well as having chances. Shine equalised with a lovely counter attack which was well deserved. Recliners stepped it up and started to play with enjoyment and Josh broke down the left and nicely squared to Jon to restore Recliners lead. On the 30 minute mark, Recliners introduced Rhys and from a lovely Pavey corner, he guided the ball home with a weighted header. 2 minutes later, another corner and another goal for Rhys. Within minutes Recliners were 4-1 up. But a minute before half time, Shine pulled a goal back. Into the second and the first 5 minutes was once again very even until Jon scored his second of the game. Recliners then took control of the match and scored another 5 goals; Tibo, Steve E (bringing his tally to 4 goals in 4 games), Rick (2 in 2 now) and both Jon and Rhys completing their hat tricks.
A great game played out by two good clubs.
