Defensive frailties in both sides were exposed repeatedly in this game. Mathern looked like they would run away with it after taking a quick fire 2 goal lead, but Decliners pegged them back and the HT score was 3-3. There were gifted goals, penalties and decent saves galore in the second half, but in the end it was the quality and nouse of the Mathern guests that won the day. Game was played in a generally good spirit.
